Expo to inform seniors on range of info, services

Organizers expect more than 350 people to visit the Classic Center on Wednesday for the Fall Senior Expo, which will feature information on a range of services and resources for Northeast Georgia's older population.

The Northeast Georgia Senior Providers Network will host the free event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Classic Center, 300 N. Thomas St.

"The whole purpose of the expo is to provide one-stop shopping and to give information for a variety of services to caregivers and seniors," said Beth Hodges, chairwoman of the Fall Senior Expo and marketing manager with Custom Mobility.

At least 45 vendors will participate in the expo and provide information on everything from transportation and mobility options to laboratory and physician services to home health care.

The expo also will feature several educational sessions during the day, including one the Northeast Georgia Area Agency on Aging is presenting at 10:30 a.m. on the M
